CHELSEA & ZACH WEDDING 11/2/24 NAPA, CA

Updated: 2 days ago

Hi all, Richard here! Now that the season is drawing to a close I'm taking some time to reflect on some of my favorite Bay Area weddings of 2024. One recent one that comes to mind is Chelsea & Zach's stupidly fun party at Talahusi Estate in Napa, CA.

First things first... here's an hour of my dancefloor mix! Chelsea & Zach's tastes gravitated towards Top 40 so I grabbed a bunch of rad edits & remixes of some trendy pop bangers. Take it for a spin and please follow me on Mixcloud if you dig what you hear!

I'm a big fan of Chappell Roan, Charlie xcx and all the Brat Summer hits so this mix was hella fun to perform. I threw a couple oddball choices in like Vampire Weekend and a remix of "Since U Been Gone" by Kelly Clarkson. Some might say you're not supposed to spin breakup songs at weddings, but if it's fun and it hits the right sentimental notes I say go for it! A little chaos can be refreshing ;)

The dancefloor was lit all night! Here are some fun pics courtesy of my new photographer friend Trinity Rose (@trinityroseweddings). My favorite pic is the dude who split his pants dancing lol.

Props to Alyssa Aguirre and the planning team at Seven Oh Seven Events (@sevenohsevenevents) for a perfectly coordinated & executed event. I'll have the pleasure of collaborating with the Seven Oh Seven dream team again next August in Sebastopol for Bella & Casey's wedding. And much love to Chelsea and Zach for dropping this review on my Zola and Knot pages.

I hope this won't be the last time I get to perform at Talahusi Estate because it was a lovely venue. Here's a bit about Talahusi from their page on The Knot and some more tear-inducing photos courtesy of Trinity Rose.

Hidden behind the iconic white water tower lies the 27x52 infinity pool, which overlooks the nearby vineyards and Mayacamas mountains. Poolside amenities include an outdoor grill and bocce ball court surrounded by winding paths and bordered by the beauty of olive trees and blossoming bushes. The large vegetable garden and orchard are also open to guests to pick the seasonally available produce. Offerings can include pomegranates, persimmons, summer berries, and more.

Side note: did you know that Napa is the birthplace of the loudspeaker? In 1916 it was invented by Peter Jensen at 1606 F Street and I took a picture of this statue that commemorates the accomplishment. Thanks for bringing the noise, Peter!
